Time Flies By

Time flies by when you are having fun, have a new baby, or everyone in your house is sick and not getting better. The latter has been my world for the past month and half. Long time I know. First off T got some bad congestion. I told him to use the Netti pot. He refused. Then the congestion move to his chest where it sat for three weeks before he FINALLY went to the doctor. Yesterday was his last day of antibiotics but he now has pain in both ears and has congestion again. During that time I got sick, used my beloved Netti pot, and got over it in 7 days. I'm rubbing it in. (wink) Hubbies listen to your wives. We really do know whats good for you.

Just when I thought we were on the mend of things Little Man has told me since Sunday that his belly hurt. I didn't think anything of it because he would say it and then start his boy noises and playing normal. Well yesterday was nothing but normal. After he woke up from a nap I went to give him a hug and he was burning up. Poor kid had a temp of 100.3! He was more upset that I told him he couldn't go outside and play with his friends. Being the good mommy I was I had him lay down, take some Tylenol, and drink lots of water. He's had fevers before and usually within a day he's all better. Well and hour and half later he turns to talk to me and barfs. On me. On the Couch. On the Floor. Three times. I'm trying to keep myself together and not barf myself from the smell. So I give him a hug, stripe us both down as we are covered in the awful smell, get us both dressed, and get him bed with a bucket. I read him a few stories and got him calmed down enough to stay in bed. Then I come down stairs to start cleaning. I almost threw up again. The smell was bad. I strip the couch cushions and put the covers in the wash and take care of the spot on the carpet. All the while I've got all the windows open so I can get it done.

The rest of the evening was eventful as well. I called T up and he was good enough to stop by the store and pick up some Pedalyte on his way home. As he came through the door he announced that he doesn't feel good either. Great. I've just been barfed on and now the other (cough) baby in the house doesn't feel good. (I'm sorry but some men are just babies when they are sick. But when we the MOMS get sick we don't get coddled. Why is that? Hum?) So since the couch is out of use we blew up a mattress (with air mind you ;)) stuck in on the floor in front of the couch and T and Little Man watched a movie. Little Man crashed and T moved him upstairs. Then we all went to bed at 9. But my night didn't end there. I was up ever two hours with either Little Man or Babe.

This morning Little Man is eating. (Whew!) Babe is being her normal happy self. (knock on wood). The only downside is my house still smells like puke. Better go plug in the Scentsy Warmer and make it smell good in here!

So there you have it folks. The reason why my posts have been far and few in between. One day I will be posting regularly again. I hope sooner than later.

Have a great day and know that your house smells good!

I feel you pain. We went through that about a month ago, but I got it too while being prego! It was horrible. Careful about not letting him eat too much too soon. Keep him on the BRAT diet for a few days. I made the mistake of letting him back to normal food too soon and he threw up again 3 days after I thought he was completely over it. Good luck!

I swear your little girl looks like our little Annie. It's crazy but when I saw her cute picture I couldn't believe it. Minus the blue eyes. Annie actually has a red tint to her hair. We will have to get these two together sometime and get there picture!
