I LOVE digitally scrapbooking! If you go to my blog there are some great sites under Free Digital Scrapbooking that you can get CUTE free kits. I use Adobe Photoshop to do all of mine!
I haven't started doing it yet, but I have only heard good things. My Sister-in-law is the expert at it and knows everything there is to know about what is out there, the best programs to use and where to get it all developed. I am sure she wouldn't mind you emailing her about it or maybe even chatting with you on the phone. Email me if you want her contact info and I can give it to you!
I LOVE LOVE LOvE it. There is a link on my blog to Elise Hansen Designs. All her kits are free, and so cute. She is a friend of mine and she is amazing at this digital designing stuff. Also, I joined ScrapWOW for like $20. Well worth it. I use Photoshop and it is a great program. A little pricey, but very good. Also, there is a place in Rigby that will print them for me if I just put them on my jump drive and take them there. He does an amazing job of printing them. I'm sure if you call around to the print shops in your area they will do it. Don't pay more than like $1.50 a page and ask for a discount after 50 or so pages. Let me know what you decide. I can email you some of mine if you want to see how they turn out. It's so much easier for me than regular scrapbooking, because it's fast and I love having all the embellishments and papers without having to go to the scrapbook store. Email me with any questions at hummer72@gmail.com Good Luck!
designerdigitals.com has a "getting started" guide you can print. I use photoshop elements 5. Also, twopeasinabucket.com has lots of free digital kits. I'm just starting out with this too! BTW, i'm Emily's sister, she suggested I check out your comments and get some ideas too!
Hey, you don't exactly know me but you know my husband (Adam) and we live in SV by your parents; you also now know my best friend (Jess).
I thought I'd share my input: I bought Scrapbook Factory Deluxe from amazon.com. It was only $30 and it is software you install on your computer to do digital scrapbooking, photo crafts, cards, etc. There are templates or create your own options, plus a huge gallery of really cute text and images. The possibilities are endless!!
