It's Been Awhile. I know.

So much has happened!

First of all . . . . we finally have a second vehicle! It's a 97 Honda CRV and I LOVE it. (Pictures to come later, I promise) Wow. I really didn't know what freedom was. I mean staying home all day with my little one is great but you can only do so much laundry and cleaning in one day. The pioneers has lots more to do so it did tend to get dull most days. I can now do errands when I want to instead of working it around Tom's schedule. Wonderful!

Second of all due to circumstances we cannot control we will be moving in the middle of October. We will still be kicking it here in Cali. Now here's the story why. In January our landlord informed us he was going into litigation against his lenders for unfair lending practices. Okay we thought no big deal. Well around April/May we were informed by a good friend in our ward (church group) that the place we are renting was listed on a pre-foreclosure list online! Tom and I couldn't believe it! So after several attempts to get a hold of the landlord we were informed he knew it was in pre-foreclosure and he was working to keep it. (Okay. But why did you not tell us first hand uh? We are paying our rent every month and have NEVER defaulted? Give us some common courtesy please.) Then two days ago we get a legal noticed taped to the front of the door saying the place we are renting is going up for auction on Sept 16th at 10:00 a.m. WHAT!!!!!!???!??!?! Yeah folks. We pay our rent, pay our bills, and THIS happens. Now I'm not upset that we have to move I'm just a little frustrated over the fact that the landlord has kept us in the dark. By California law we have 60 days to move out from the day the place is purchased. Well that would be RIGHT when baby #2 is coming so we've decided that we just need to move before it happens. So that means mid-October. (Who loves moving? Please give me a WHOOP WHOOP if you do.)

We want to stay in the ward that we currently are in. We are looking very hard for a place but please just keep us in your prayers. We weren't planning on moving for a while and this came up quite suddenly.

Because of the whole situation that has been created I don't know if I'll have a lot of time to do posting so after this the blog may be quiet for a month or two until we finally find a place and move!

I wish you the best in your move! I know moving can be stressful. I'd be happy to find you a place near us (um, nextdoor maybe?) if you want! ;)

Holy cow. I would be so bothered. Sorry and best wishes for finding a new place. Trust me, I know the stress (and the tears) that accompanied me when our baby was on his way last year and we had to find a place to live in one day. It was probably the worst day of my life (and then it all got better :)

So stressful. Aren't landlords such a pleasure? We're about to move too, so we'll be going through it together. Good luck!

That is so wrong! Good luck hunting for a new (and better) place. I hope you can find one soon. For now, just enjoy the fact that with two cars you can drive around to see places while Tom is working! We just barely got two cars as well and it is heaven!
