We are doing well. Little Man is driving me nutz. The Xbox got the "Ring of Fire" where it shows three rings of red that means something is wrong with the hardware. This is the 5th !#%^!$^! box that we've gone through since Tom bought it. It's what we watch movies on so that means . . . . . no Bugs Life, (Whew was getting tired of that one) but one little upset boy because he can't watch his favorite movie. I've been trying to find things to entertain him. So far we have rediscovered Sesame Street. I feel asleep but Little Man was enthralled and laughed several times at something. Then I decided to be brave and take a shower while he was awake. As always it's was a disaster. Little Man found his toothpaste and proceeded to go downstairs and "brush his teeth." Being the good little guy he is he got it all over his mouth, hands, and who knows where else. I always find those spots a few days later. He also proceeded to tell me he made a stinky. (He's great at peeing on the toilet but getting him to make a #2 is a different story) All the while I'm in my towel trying to herd him back upstairs to his room so I can take care of the mess and get dressed quickly. AT least I got a shower and don't smell like two-day-old Me. Maybe Tom will want to kiss me today . . . . . Little Man is starting to get really good with getting his numbers in the right sequence. Like he'll say 1,2,3 or 7,8,9. Always in threes but in the right order. Alphabet is another story. I WOULD not make a very good homeschooler. For that very reason I VOW to have my children in public school. We are going to attempt to finger paint today. I'll share how that goes! The last time it happened I spent more time cleaning the table and the booster chair than the actual time we spent painting. But hey, who can pass up the chance to stick your fingers in paint and smear it all over the place, right? Art Creations to come later. Tom is FINALLY all caught up on the Heroes addiction. But alas playoffs have really started to kick off. The only good thing is the Flames got knocked out of the playoffs this first round which means I may have more Tom this season than years before. I'm doing well. Plugging along with my Scentsy trying to earn/save money for my Lasik. I really do look forward to not being the thing that goes "bump" in the night. I don't know HOW Tom can sleep through Little Man yelling in the middle of the night because he can't find his sippy cup or Tigger. I mean, SERIOUSLY? You can't hear that two year old screaming from the other room? I think he needs his ears checked. Yet he won't go to a doctor for even a year check up. (sigh. What am I going to do?) Well. I think that's about it. My house is a mess but the dishes are done. The laundry is clean but needs to be folded and put away. Little Man is worried because he got Tigger wet and my desk is so messy I can't find a pen. Perhaps it's time to do something productive today, eh? |

Happy Days
So I wrote this letter to my mom this morning. Then decided to send it to close family members. Then I just decided to post it with some modification done to it. Enjoy!

I think your day sums up a lot of women's days. I'm not to the point of a toddler getting into things (that's something I'm looking forward to..) but the rest sounds about right!
My life is about as chaotic as yours. :) Sounds like you're all healthy and doing well though. That's what matters. Oh, and I think you need your head checked out for finger painting in the house. You live in CA, do that outside woman! :)
I love how true to life that is! You should try watching Letter Factory. It is a DVD made by LeapFrog that is SO good at teaching kids their letters and the sounds they make in a very fun, creative way. I even enjoy watching it! It helped Caden tons.
I loved your letter! Thanks for sharing it through email and blog. I miss you and hope that all goes well for you.
Find something productive??? It sounds like you have be productive all morning!! What an awesome mom you are!!! I have learned threw MANY personal experiences never to take a shower while the kids are awake...unless they are on the floor in the bathroom playing:) Such is life!!
