Well now I have my own story to tell.
B has just been put down for a nap about 20 minutes or so and I was just finishing up part of a book when I started to drift off to sleep when . . . . . I hear rattling in the house. Not sure what it is I get out of bed and realize the house is swaying back and forth. I quickly burst into B's room to get him and stand in the doorway. I thought it was done and started walking down the stairs and realized that the house was still swaying back and forth. It stopped about 10 seconds after that I walked back to B's room to rock him and put him back to sleep. I then promptly wanted to call family and the phone lines are down. Just my luck.
Nothing fell off the walls and so far no injuries. Apparently the epicenter is in Chino Hills which is in LA.
Wow. Weird, exciting, and scary all at the same time!

Hey Meg, I remember when my family first moved to SV everyone kept talking about the earth quake. So funny. I am glad you are okay!

Guess what... I'd love to live in the mountains too and live like the olden days. I'm sure I'd get sick of it after awhile, but sometimes the day to day stuff is such a drag! We just need to soak in the daily stuff!
So scary!!! I guess we got some of your aftershocks here. I didn't feel them cuz we always have the air force flying over our house anyway so our house is always being shaken. But I heard all about it on the news last night about everyone here who felt it...I thought of you! Glad everything is okay!!
